Made for Mermaids Mama Catherine

Well hey y'all! I'm here to blog some love over my recent pattern test I participated in for Made for Mermaids. The new Mama Catherine PDF pattern is loaded with options (like every M4M pattern) so I'll focus on the ones I covered.

For my test, I got to sew up a dress version with a square lined yoke and super fun high-low flounce sleeves.

I was really excited for these fun new sleeves! I chose to enhance the dramatics and use one of my favorite laces that I can't keep myself from trying to add to everything. I feel like I could add this lace to my gym clothes and feel fancy.

I lined my square yoke with some nude triblend I had on hand just so i could add a little modesty (and warmth). The sew was simple and quick just how I like it and I'm already up to two Mama Catherine ((dresses)) alone..

The skirt portion of the pattern is a gathered skirt and very forgiving as it hangs away from the body and has lots of ease.

I hope you love this new pattern as much as I do and lookout for it in the shop if you don't want to make it yourself :)

.. and here is me frolicking in a field of cotton as people drive by staring.
